Transport to event

Postby nadriel » Tue Jun 16, 2015 7:53 am

Hi,
I currently have no transport to the event, and was hoping to crew as I didn't have the money in time to get a player ticket.

So firstly, is there anyone travelling from London that has space? My original transport option is no longer available.

Failing that, what are the best solo routes, transport-wise with a small suitcase, to get to the site? I currently can't afford any of the options I know about, but I still have some time to look into things.

Public transport-wise, you can get the train/bus/plane to Edinburgh/Glasgow, then get a train/bus to Dundee at which point a pick-up can probably be arranged to get you from the station to the site.

Right, sorting out plane tickets soon. What sort of travel time would it be for me to get a lift to/from Dundee? I'm currently thinking of trying to go directly to Dundee if possible.

About 30 mins from Dundee to site, depending on traffic at time of day of course and exact location in the city.
Hope is the first step on the road to disappointment.

Time Out's usually 1pm-ish on the Sunday, give or take an hour.

Time In... depends, scheduled Time In is frequently delayed no matter what system you play. :-) I think previously an 8pm Time In has been aimed-for (off the top of my head), but rarely happened before 9-10pm.

On both of these, happy to bow to those more informed/certain than I.

Time in is aimed for 7 with an expected start of 8, usually. Slippage happens.

Time out is at 2pm on Sunday. Early finish or slippage can happen.

Plane tickets booked to Dundee, but I'll need to sort some form of transport from there to/from the site.
