The crew of the Milady De Winter is made up of Radicals and Xenophiles that enjoy the freedom offered by life beyond the line. Many have made mistakes they are attempting to atone for and would need to answer some pointed questions if the wished to return to the life of the upstanding imperial citizens. But, Captain Nox runs a tight ship so cheats and cutthroats rarely last long aboard.

Although I have taken the first few steps on the road to respectability, the trip is long and there is much fun to be had along the way.

I still seek shipmates to serve aboard the Milady De Winter for our ongoing (if tacitly approved off) antics beyond the line.

Although I am now a member of Traherne Dynasty, no dynasty membership is automatically to crew members. I may be able to arrange introductions to Lord Captain Cal Traherne if a position within the Dynasty is sought.

I'm amusing myself with a little project. I'd like to come up with a concept for each archetype that would fit in with the concept of redemption that's core to the crew of the Milady.

Concept one - Lost Stormcaller Navigator

Your family was never going to be one of the great houses as it's navigators were better at calling warp storms than calming them. this made marriages hard to arrange but favours easy to earn. Your Novator played a dangerous political game of shifting alliances and work for hire and eventually formed a long standing alliance with one of the great houses. When that great house became embroiled in a trade war that pointed the inquisition at some of the more questionable endeavours your house was sacrificed instead. Your novator and most of the senior members of the house are dead and you have been sent out by what's left of the house to try and earn what you can so they can rebuild. Sick of the politics and filled with anger you have fled far from terra in the hopes of escaping the politics of the Navis Nobility.
Short term goals - act like a petulant teen and annoy as many of the Navis Nobility as possible. Look for xenos alternative lifestyles. Stay off the inquisition's radar.
Redemption - grow up and build allies to seize power as the new Novator of your house.
Character gen notes - Call Warpstorm power, no navigator titles

Concept 2 - Grey Trade Xenophile Sage

Educated at the very best schools on seraph you were on track to become a successful academic. Then, you and a few friends came into possession of some Tau recruitment materials and your eyes were opened to another way. Heading out beyond the line in search of the utopia promised by the tau you quickly realised how big the universe is and how hard it would be to reach the tau worlds. You retreated back to Archangel hoping to find some leads and maybe earn enough to pay for passage. Now, after years on archangel, you may be jaded but are one of the leading experts on xenos artefacts and a big player in the grey trade. You've decided it's time to head back across the line and see if you can find the truth about the Tau.
Short Term Goals - Find out more about what the tau are up to in the sector, have adventures across the line, get some xenos artefacts to sell, stay on the right side of the inquisition
Redemption - realise that the tau are up to no good and rally the sector against them.
Character gen notes - Lord/Lady of Archangel, Vault asset on Archangel, Lanuage Tau and Forbidden Lore: Xenos.

Concept 2 – Ships Quartermaster

The Captain may choose where Milady goes. But when it comes to running the ship and splitting the shares it’s the quartermaster that’s in charge. You served aboard the Milady as a junior office while she was still in the Navy and when she was mustered out. When Captain Nox decided to head across the line and turn Pirate the men elected you as Quartermaster to represent them and Veto the Captain’s decision if they became too outrageous. As Quartermaster you have fingers in many pies and have a fondness for collecting other people’s secrets. You have built up a massive network of contacts, leads and favours on both sides of the line in your time aboard ship.
Short Term Goals – Find some interesting secrets, make sure Nox looks out for the crew, Turn a healthy profit
Redemption – Get your own ship and go straight (maybe start a family).
Character Gen Notes – Mercenary Naval Lieutenant, Vault Beyond the Line, Criminal Influence, Some Favourable Trade Rates & Trade Details

Concept 4 – The Salvager
A voidborn scavenger that was born in the wreck field of eddard's reach. You were raised by one of the semi-nomadic tribes descended from the small number of survivors from the massive naval battle. You've spent your life dodging the forces of the archenemy that control the system while raiding the wrecks for supplies and parts you could trade. In fact, you've risen to the role of spiritual leader within the tribe. With Eberstark taking control of the largest space hulk your tribe gave up it's nomadic ways and like many of the other tribes signed up as crew on passing ships. You were quickly inducted in to the ranks of the tech priests, although your tribal traditions can differ from the mainstream mechanicus.
Short Term Goals – Find out more about the faith of the other tech-priests, Salvage something particularly interesting (bonus points if you need to do a space walk), Barter componants for something more interesting
Redemption – Build a new stable home for your tribe
Character Gen Notes – Tech Priest, Your tribe and their scavenger shuttles
